USSAC run try dives every year for students to have a go at scuba diving and find out more about the club.
This year, our try dives are on
TBC
We provide a minibus to the Spectrum, if you want to come along, meet us:
Senate House, 7:15pm to be picked up.
Or you can make your own way to the Spectrum for about 8:00pm.
Either way, can you please, please (please) let us know you’re coming so we can plan accordingly.
You can sign up at the Fresher’s Fayre, Active Fresher’s Fayre, or by e-mailing the Training Officer.
What you need for a try dive:
- Some old, spare socks
- An old t-shirt you don’t mind getting wet
- Swimming costume
- Towel
- Enthusiasm!
What to expect:
Try dives give you a chance to try Scuba diving in a safe and sheltered environment.
With a qualified instructor on hand to talk you through some of the basics of diving, you’ll be given a brief tour of the standard SCUBA kit.
Don’t forget, whether you’re in or out of the pool the instructors and other club members are there to help you – remember, there’s no such thing as a stupid question! We heartily encourage poolside banter!
